
Ict Support Technician

**This Role **is an essential and valued part of our College's operations. The successful applicant will be at the forefront of managing and supporting our stakeholder's technical issues. You will execute installs, moves, adds or changes of end-user computing systems and associated peripherals, provide classroom technical support, implement new ICT initiatives and projects, and co-manage our college’s MDM solution (jamf) with other leaders. This role is integral to our success.
**Key accountabilities** include:
- Provide helpdesk support for all users, including administrative and teaching staff as well as students when required.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
- Assist in maintaining hardware and software asset records
- Real-time in-classroom support when required.
- Assist with installing, upgrading and maintaining ICT resources including hardware, software and physical infrastructure.
- Help with new rollouts, software installation and deployment tasks.
- Assist with the maintenance of technical procedure documentation.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and tidy state.
- Monitor classroom sets of laptops / iPads when necessary.
- Monitor desktops, printers, laptops, iPads, etc., for operational failure.
- Assist with deploying and managing new portable devices, including Windows laptops and Apple iPads.
- Assist with the management of the Jamf MDM system for Apple devices throughout the College.
- Assist with the management of Apple School Manager & Wonde EduSync products for Apple Devices throughout the College.
**What you will need to succeed**:
- A relevant information technology (or equivalent) diploma is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally and by Trinity College Values.
- Customer-focused individual who will enjoy supporting a diverse educational community.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a conscientious approach to managing multiple and complex tasks
- Experience, confidence, and patience working with users of all skill levels.
- Experience in providing helpdesk and IT system support services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and current Windows server OS.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Understanding of Azure AD and associated services.
- Experience with Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager.
- Be committed to continuing professional development.
- A strong sense of judgement and discretion with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity principles.
- Able to have a flexible approach to working out of hours to accommodate college needs and be able to work during school holidays.
- All Trinity College Staff must comply with the College’s Child Safe Policy and adhere to the Child Safety Code of Conduct.
In addition, the following are strongly desirable:
- Jamf or similar MDM certifications.
- Microsoft or Apple certifications.
- Previous experience working in an educational environment is highly desirable.
