**Overview**

Orient Capital (OC) is a global player in the events space and investor relations industry and has built a formidable reputation in the space. The Events Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of client events in line with client and management expectations.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of client events and ensure you and the team not only delivers seamless events but are the key trusted client contact in ensuring the event runs smoothly. This will involve working alongside client relationship management team(s) to support clients in the ASX 200.

You will also oversee all elements of event management including scheduling, invoicing and day-to-day management of third party suppliers, as well as working closely with our Events Delivery Manager and Events Production Manager to ensure our delivery is second to none.

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Contribute to product innovation and continually think of ways to improve both the platform and delivery process
- Oversee and manage your portfolio of events, meeting clients’ expectations
- Oversight of third party suppliers, including AV, transcript, conference calls
- Deliver assigned work within agreed timeframes and quality parameters, in accordance with stakeholder expectations
- Ensure the processing and delivery of post event deliverables together with invoices, event logs, and reporting data are completed on time
- Work closely with the Events Delivery & Events Production Managers and Head of Events to ensure you are aware of all issues
- Manage internal and external stakeholders involved in delivering your portfolio of events
- Actively build and advocate productive relationships with project stakeholders, clients, management, and staff

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Excellent project management skills and proven event management record
- Abiity to think on ones feet in a fast moving environment
- Pro-active communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Good with figures and calculations
- Time management and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Interpersonal/relationship building skills
- Self-motivated with a strong team spirit
- Can-do, determined attitude, willing to take the initiative, solve problems and adapt to rapidly-changing priorities
- Knowledge of streaming media highly regarded
- Degree in event management or audio technology required
- Flexibility in this role is required in terms of work location and hours worked, site visits and travel may be required together with working additional hours
