Global Financial Crime Lead

About the Role
In this high-profile role, you will implement and maintain Perpetual’s Financial Crime Program globally.
You will report to the General Manager Compliance and will work closely with the Board and Executive Committee, leaders across the business, and Risk and Compliance Business Partners globally.
You will lead Perpetual’s Financial Crime function and support your team members with their development.
As the Financial Crime Lead, you will:
- Partner with the business to embed Perpetual’s Risk Management Frameworks and associated Programs and Policies- Develop, implement, and maintain a global financial crime approach and risk assessment framework- Ensure financial crime compliance risks are effectively managed and mitigated- Provide training to business unit staff to help strengthen understanding of financial crime- Provide Financial Crime related compliance support and advice to business unit initiatives and projects- Coordinate Perpetual’s response to relevant regulatory interactions and legislative change initiatives- Arrange and implement inspections and audits from external parties
About you- Experience in senior financial crime compliance leadership roles in the financial services sector- Strong technical knowledge of financial crime compliance requirements, particularly AML/CTF- Able to build and maintain strong regulatory relationships- experience in a global role and/or the asset management sector- Proven to be results oriented and able to drive positive stakeholder outcomes- Excellent communicator and relationship manager- Confident presenter in front of senior stakeholders- Industry certifications (for example ACAMS, AFMA, ICA), desirable
