**About the role**

Located at MercyCare’s vibrant Wembley campus, with easy access to ample parking and a beautiful mix of heritage buildings and modern retirement facilities, you will take charge of the day-to-day operations of our retirement village. With stunning views of Lake Monger, this role gives you the unique opportunity to manage both the community and operational aspects of the village.

You will be responsible for overseeing:

- **Financial management**, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- **Staff and contractor management**, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- **Compliance with all relevant regulations and standards**, ensuring the village remains accredited under the Australian Retirement Village Accreditation Scheme

As the central point of contact, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially with current and prospective residents. You’ll collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to achieve and sustain high standards of care and service within the village. Additionally, you'll work alongside the appointed sales agent to ensure high-quality refurbishments are completed and resale targets are met, ensuring a thriving, connected community.

**About you**

In addition to being a great interpersonal person, you will have:

- A relevant qualification in Business or Retirement Living (required).
- Proven experience in operations management, ideally in a village or aged care setting.
- Sound understanding of the Retirement Villages Act, or a willingness to learn quickly, along with knowledge of relevant regulations and a strong commitment to health and safety.
- Strong financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- The ability to build positive relationships and manage conflict with empathy and professionalism.
- A current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months).
