Painting Apprenticeship

Paint yourself a successful trades career with a Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship.

Maxima, in partnership with our Host Employer, are looking for a driven worker to show off their steady hand and attention to detail skills in a 4-year painting apprenticeship.

Upon completion you will have gained industry experience, paid training, and study towards a nationally recognised
**Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.**

**Duties Include**:

- Prepare surfaces (sanding, filing, caulking)
- Protect surfaces (varnish, stain, wallpaper)
- Paint a range of surfaces to a high standard
- Colour matching
- Interpret plans
- Maintain and decorate surfaces

**About You**:

- High attention to detail
- Have good physical fitness to undertake manual labour
- Be committed, reliable and hardworking
- Display initiative, manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
- Work effectively as part of a team and follow directions

**Role Requirements**:

- Must hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Be physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Must pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Completed a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
