A rare opportunity has opened up with the Canstar Product Data team and we are looking for a Data Analyst to join us As a Data Analyst, you are tasked with maintaining, updating and quality controlling the Canstar database which is used by the majority of Australia’s major financial institutions in both the banking, wealth, insurance, telco and energy sectors.

**What you will be doing**
- Maintaining and updating the Canstar database in accordance with assigned product areas
- Evaluating procedures and policies in regards to the Canstar database, with responsibility for maintaining product sectors
- Assisting Research Analysts with ensuring databases sufficiently capture market changes and suggest improvements
- Contributing actively in all Star Ratings meetings and actions, including instigating and chasing Star Ratings audits to meet deadlines

**What you need to bring to the role**
- Experience within a data entry role
- Exceptional attention to detail and a common-sense approach
- Solid experience using Microsoft Excel
- Experience utilising G Suite/Google Workspace
- Ability to work both closely with others and independently as required
- Strong interpersonal skills to build both internal and external relationships

**What will give you the extra edge**
- Sound knowledge of Banking, General Insurance, Energy and/or Telco products
- Basic SQL knowledge
