William Adams Cat are on the lookout for an experienced and qualified **Resident/Field Service Diesel Technician. **This is an autonomous and fast paced role that will see you working in Ballarat and sorrounds and reporting to our Branch Manager in **Horsham.**

If you enjoy the challenge of delivering outstanding customer service and problem solving, while ensuring value for money for our customers, this could be a perfect fit for you.

**A typical day for a Resident/Field Service Technician will include**:

- Providing excellent customer service to our customers
- Trouble shooting, repairs (same day) and maintenance on various Cat equipment
- Travel to and from customers sites
- Ensuring accurate service reports are completed in a timely manner
- Effectively managing all parts requirements - orders and credits
- Compliance with all company safety, health and environment procedures

**ABOUT YOU**

**To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes**:

- Be a qualified Diesel Technician with extensive experience with Caterpillar machines (advantageous)
- Have advanced mechanical diagnostic skills
- Enjoy working on own and thinking on your feet
- Hold a current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded)
- Proven ability to be self-motivated, a self-starter and to work unsupervised
- Working knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems & computer diagnostics (advantageous)
- Be able to service customers and their equipment to a very high standard
- Have the skills to follow the job the whole way through from booking to invoicing as you will be a contact in the Ballarat and sorrounding area
