**Primary Purpose of Role**: As the Bid Writer within the Strategic Capture and Bid (SCB) organisation of Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand (NS ANZ), you will utilise your bid writing experience to produce compelling, client focused proposals and bids. As a key member of the Strategic Capture and Bid Team, you will proactively communicate with our consultants and industry experts to achieve logical flow and structure of content in complex technical proposal responses. You will contribute to the overall success of the Strategic Capture and Bid Team and business unit bid teams by planning and writing of responses to bids and proposals within given time frames, as well as capturing new content and maintaining a broader bid collateral library.
**About you**:
- Experience in developing and writing content preferably for tenders and within the Defence and Emergency services industry
- Proven experience in bid writing, across EOIs, RFIs, RFTs, proposals, capability statements, and large and complex bids
- Can readily adapt to different work scenarios to enable you to work with our internal teams to prepare specific responses for our more complex RFTs etc.
- Experience engaging autonomously with multiple stakeholders across all levels of our business, and be comfortable and willing to ask probing questions to gather input.
**What will you be involved in**:
- Collate and write document content as well as produce marketing communications, document structures/contents and convert data and reports into meaningful information to produce persuasive proposals that win business (including EOIs, RFIs, RFPs, ITRs, RFTs, RFQs, capability statements, case studies and CVs).
- Proof documents to improve clarity, grammar, structure, format and ensure they incorporate win themes aligned to win strategy.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to comply with the tender quality review process; schedule and manage tasks; and deliver compelling proposals in a timely manner.
- Deliver written proposals and presentations with an emphasis on accuracy and highest quality.
- Write, proof and edit proposal documents and presentations to ensure a cohesive and concise submission.
- Develop and adhere to formats and templates according to proposal requirements and Nova branding.
- Actively collaborate with tender response teams to develop compelling, client-focused, easy-to-read responses.
- Actively collaborate with other teams (when required) on the production and management of marketing materials to support the proposal.
- Proactively advocate for tendering best practice throughout everyday work and response development.
- Support and advocate persuasive message development, including the implementation of persuasive messaging techniques, formatting and graphics.
- Support client-facing activities including preparing presentations.
- Assist the bid manager/lead to close the proposal/bid cycle:
- Populate and maintain the proposal database to enable efficient reuse of relevant content and ensure the bid collateral library is updated and maintained
**Essential Requirements**:
- Experience in Bid/Proposal/Tender writing, preferably within Defence, engineering, professional services, or similar industry
- Able to research clients and develop bid strategies that support client needs and provide compelling differentiation
- Highest level of written attention to detail
- Highest level of written and verbal communication skills
- Able to interpret passages of text (technical and non-technical) and provide graphic solutions and requests for implementation by a graphics developer.
- Experience in maintaining and publishing content in a knowledge library (SharePoint)
- Ability to deliver tasks on time and with a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated initiative, trust and reliability and the ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively across the business
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders to source key information
- High level proficiency in Office Suite (Advanced Word, Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills), including Microsoft Word template development and maintenance experience.

- Hold a current NV1 clearance or have no impediments to attain an NV1 clearance or higher clearances as required.
