**Who we are**
Digital Platforms provide the wholesale digital platforms and services that underpin the department’s retail digital products. We provide the architectural guardrails for design and implementation of digital systems in the department to ensure sustainability and enable innovation. We drive and support the adoption of DevOps practices to enable faster and more robust delivery of IT systems
**The Job**
The section is looking for a passionate, energetic and skilled Technical Test Manager to work in a diverse team of testers to deliver testing activities for large scale projects. You will need to have excellent communication and stakeholder relationship and engagement skills.
The Job The main duties of the Technical Test Manager include, but are not limited to:
- leading a technical testing team to oversee the delivery of testing activities to project teams
- working with a dynamic team to identify and support the automation and performance testing capability
- providing technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or stakeholders
- creating and providing advice on testing estimates
- managing and administering specialised testing tools; including support in patch maintenance and upgrades
- developing and maintaining strong working relationships with other IT services, IT solution functions and stakeholders to expedite delivery of IT solutions
- assisting in the development of quality assurance frameworks and testing standards, procedures, processes, and best practices as related to automation and performance testing through a Community of Practice.
**What we are looking for**
**Knowledge and experience**
- A minimum of 5 years testing experience and 2 years of test team lead experience.
- Demonstrated experience in leading diverse technical testing teams.
- Knowledge in automation and performance testing and associated frameworks.
- Strong knowledge and experience in agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in Software Testing Lifecycles.
**Skills and capabilities**
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Ability to manage multiple testing projects and align priorities according to the section, division and department.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent oral, written and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and initiative.
**Desirable qualifications**
- Qualifications or certifications in Software automation and/or performance testing is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in toolsets; Tosca & LoadRunner is highly desirable.
