Talent International is searching for experienced Lead DevSecOps Specialist to join our client, a large state government department. This is a 6 month contract role based in Brisbane.

**About the Role**:

- implementing whole-of-Government strategies and emerging technologies delivery of complex multi-agency ICT solutions.
- Design, delivery and operation of client technology and sole-of-government infrastructure, including network and telecommunications connectivity, information and cyber security, cloud services and data centres.

The position provides leadership, expertise and advice in the development and implementation for the whole of Government solutions for Federated Identity, Information Sharing and API Graphs and Business Services Catalogues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Play a pivotal role within a central platform engineering team responsible for product development and enhancements to the common integration platform.
- Providing hands-on solutions for the Digital Identity and GraphQL integrations and services.
- Work in a team to ensure a collaborative culture that fosters product-centric mindset, constantly iterating and improving to deliver quality digital products and services.
- Ensure that all operations, process and practices operate within all relevant legislative and government standards.
- Be available to be on call and/or undertake after hours work if required during key project stages.

**Experience Required**:

- Strong coding experience in Java, Node.js, GraphQL, Bash, and Python
- Significant exposure across automation eg. Ansible, CloudFormation, CDK, terraform
- Experience with continuous integration/delivery and source code management tools including GitHub, Go.cd, Argo
- Solid understanding of interface contract design and lifecycle management, particularly within a federated microservices environment
- Experience with security and identity practices, including OpenID Connect (OIDC) and OAuth 2.0 token management
- Experience in test automation and JavaScript unit and integration testing using frameworks such as Jest and Postman in containers
- Experience in reactive Microservices and event driven architectures utilising publish and subscribe models is advantageous.
- Cloud technologies on AWS and equivalent such as Azure, GCP. Containers and Kubernetes deployment platforms preferred
- Ability to lead and work in an agile and DevSecOps environment with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
