This company is one of Tasmania's best heavy equipment dealers. Their operation has a national footprint, and they proudly represent several high-quality equipment manufacturers in earthmoving & other heavy machinery industries. Their Hobart operation, conveniently based just north of Hobart provides service to most of Southern Tasmania and includes a long-standing team of dedicated staff.

The business is currently experiencing fantastic growth and are now looking to grow the team.

**Position**

An exciting opportunity now presents itself for a Service Manager to join the branch in Hobart. The role has the below responsibilities:

- Lead, manage and hold responsibility over the branches large service department
- Directly manage a team of staff including tradespeople and coordinators
- Promote the safe and efficient running of the workshop
- Schedule and liaise with technicians to attend field service calls
- Ensure a high standard of workmanship is being upheld
- Interview, hire, onboard and train new recruits
- Deal directly with clients and manage escalated issues
- Ensure the branch meets and exceeds service KPIs
- Provide technical and hands-on support to technicians when short staffed

Experience working with heavy mobile plant such as earthmoving, agricultural, forestry, mining or truck/bus, although not necessary would be preferred.

Other important criteria include:

- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Background working within a dealership environment (ag, trucks, earthmoving or mining)
- Strong communication and management skills
- The ability to work autonomously and to managements expectations
- Technical experience with machinery
- Reliable and trustworthy
