**Role Description/Criteria**

St Paul’s Primary School Coburg is seeking a passionate, dynamic and committed STEM teacher (0.4 FTE) to teach Year Prep-6, who can inspire children to explore and develop their STEM abilities.

The role is a contract position covering two days per week (days to be determined).

The successful applicant will:

- Have a passion to teach STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics)
- Engage and support student learning in STEM
- Have with a strong work ethic.
- Provide opportunities for our students to be involved in a range of external activities such as relevant and appropriate STEM competitions and activities.
- Promote STEM in the school and to the wider community
- Teach the STEM program according to the Victorian Curriculum
- Assess student’s STEM skill development.
- Join a dynamic specialist teaching team.
- Plan, work and learn in a team environment.
- A willingness to work collaboratively with others.
- Strong communication skills
- Have excellent classroom management skills.
- Willingness to be involved in all aspects of the school community
- Passion for building strong partnerships and links between our families and school.

**All Applicants must have**:

- current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up to date Criminal Record check.
- Religious Education accreditation
- a commitment to Catholic education.
- an understanding of the Child Safe Standards.
- a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
