**The Program Manager, Natural Environment Programs leads and manages a team of technical specialists to deliver place-based, high-quality statutory environmental and biodiversity related assessment and advice in the context of complex and competing policy priorities**

**This role requires someone to lead a team of technical specialists to undertake biodiversity related assessments and provide advice on a range of activities across both the private and public land estates.**

**In particular, this role requires strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to facilitate resolution of environmental advice and management of risks to biodiversity, working closely with internal business units such as the Planning and Environmental Assessment and Bushfire and Forest Services teams.**

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Qualifications and expertise in planning, or natural resource management or a related environmental field.
- Experience in leading technical/knowledge-based teams.

**This is a fixed term position available until 31 December 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Barwon South West Region with hybrid work arrangements available.**
