The Food Services manager is a critical role and is responsible for the daily operations of the Food Services department of 135 staff. This includes overseeing the Hospital Cafe (Retail), Vending, and activities relating to the production (2,000+ meals / day), sales, and delivery of food services across multiple sites, including Frankston Hospital, Rosebud Hospital, The Mornington Centre, Golf Links Road Rehabilitation Centre. You will also have 6 direct reports including 1 Executive Chef, 4 supervisors, 2 x Head Chefs and 1 Store person.

**What You Will Be Doing**

The Food Services Manager provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety, legislation and various clients’ expectations are met.

With the redevelopment and expansion of Frankston Hospital to include a new Kitchen in 2026, we are looking for a forward thinking and dynamic individual with à la carte experience to lead the implementation of a room service model.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a food services management or

leadership position within a hospital/healthcare and or aged care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and work within budget parameters Strong

customer service orientation
- Formal qualification / certification in hotel and catering management, or food

services management
- Experience working in a similar role, supplying food to both hospital and aged

care facilities.
- Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the

ability to relate to people at all levels and build relationships.
- Experience resolving difficult and sensitive challenges using professional,

evidence based approaches.

Essential: Relevant tertiary qualifications which may include: a) Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management. b) Cert 3 or Trade Certificates in Commercial Cookery.

Desirable: Certified Food Safety Auditor

Essential: Proven leadership in a Food Services Management role in a quality food service production unit with appropriate industry qualifications.

Essential: Demonstrated sound judgement and innovation in problem solving and generating positive solutions to work situations.

Desirable: Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
