**The Role - Development Officer**

Reporting to a passionate and driven Development Executive, the Development Officer is responsible for supporting a multi-faceted Gifts in Wills and Mid Value Donor Program.

This team secure and maintain donations from individuals who have a
**significant impact** on the organisation’s [RR2] work. As the Development Officer, you will
**leverage your excellent administrative and customer service skills** to ensure that all interactions with these donors run smoothly and meet high standards.

This opportunity will see you provide administrative support but also
**establish your own relationships** with your own portfolio of mid-level donors. You will be
**highly organised** and proficient in using a CRM system to manage donor information and track communication through all channels.

**build positive relationships** by providing a kind and attentive ear when needed and by expressing gratitude for contributions in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and strengthen a small portfolio of Mid-Level gift supporters with consistent communications and financial support
- Provide support to the Major Gifts & Planned Giving team in their day-to-day operations
- Support the Gift in Wills program, assisting with follow up calls and stewardship activities
- Maintaining accurate records on their Salesforce CRM database.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Represent Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and work collaboratively with the Development team to support broader development activities as required.

**Your Skills & Attributes**
- Experience in a similar position or junior fundraising role
- High emotional intelligence with excellent judgement and sensitivity to interpersonal and organisational dynamics
- Exceptional administration and attention to detail skills to assist with proposals and reports as required.
- Self-motivated with a “can do” attitude
- Strong technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM databases
- Kind, empathetic and compassionate by nature
- A commitment to furthering your fundraising career
