**About the role**
- The role of the Engineering Manager - M&E is to be responsible for the design management and production of design deliverables/packages under direction from Senior Design Management personnel.

- Provide inputs for the production of project program, Quality Plan, Project Document Management Plan (PDMP) and Design Management documentation.
- Interface and resolve high level inter-disciplinary engineering co-ordination issues to ensure best for Project approach is maintained (and championed).
- Review final technical recommendations from team for selection of major subcontractors/suppliers for the Project.
- Monitor and control overall design costs to agreed budget and liaise with management in relation to any design change.
- Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, with required input/ governance from the Heads of Engineering.
- Facilitate project Design Reviews, Safety In Design Reviews, Risk Reviews to meet Project specific requirements.

**About you**
- Degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering.
- At least 15 years’ cumulative engineering experience; 10 years’ experience in road or rail tunnel infrastructure Projects preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
