Company Background

Tutt Bryant Group Limited is a multi divisional organisation operating in Equipment Distribution, General Equipment Hire, Crane Hire, Specialist Lift and Heavy Haulage.

The Head Office requires an experienced Payroll Officer for the centralised Shared Services function. Reporting to the Shared Services Manager this role is part of a department of 4 staff.

**The Role**
- Process end-to-end payroll weekly and month with precision and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation, staying updated on changes.
- Conduct payroll checks, reconciliation, and manage statutory requirements such as redundancy payments and workers’ compensation.
- Handle backpay, pay adjustments, and employee timesheet adjustments.
- Identify errors and propose corrective actions for improved accuracy and efficiency, updating and maintaining payroll records.
- Assist with month-end reporting and year-end reconciliation.
- Assist with preparing payroll tax and superannuation calculations for lodgment.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Proficient understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
- Experience with Access Micropay and HumanForce is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organisation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive ability to work with staff at all levels from the operating business units withing the Group and interact with external parties.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and seek continuous improvement in systems and processes.
