Hobart

As a Field Research Officer at Roy Morgan, you will be working on one or many of our research projects. This means that you will be working in and around your community interviewing people on some of Australia’s most important research projects.

Our field team are responsible for undertaking professional and accurate data collection (including observations and interviewing) of the public with neutrality. Of course, there is some administration as well to ensure all the records are accurate and up to date. We provide extensive training and support for all our staff as well as the necessary equipment to get the work done. You need to be comfortable engaging with people from all walks of life - both in helping them understand the importance and benefits of participating in research studies. You will be able to enjoy the flexibility of working independently and managing your own workload. The more flexible you are to work, the more work we have for you

At Roy Morgan there are plenty of opportunities to work on a range of projects. You will start working on one project and depending on how you go and how many hours per week you are wanting to work, other opportunities follow. We are wanting people who are able to be available to work 20+ hours per week including weekdays and weekends (must commit to this for at least 3 weeks out of each month). If you want, you could be working full time hours. We are that flexible

To be a successful Field Research Officer you will:

- Enjoy engaging with, and able to relate to, people from diverse and different backgrounds and experiences.
- Be professional, have a high level of integrity and possess mature social skills.
- Be available to work 20+ hours per week including weekdays and weekends.
- Hold a valid driver’s licence, and access to a reliable, registered vehicle.
- Have interviewing and/or customer engagement experience (market research experience a bonus but not essential).
- Hold a National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Have fluent English language proficiency (spoken and written English).
- Have a legal right to work in Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity suiting people who have research interviewing experience or similar skills in teaching, training, HR, performing arts, retail, call centres - in fact if you love talking to people, we’d love to talk to you. If you’re semi-retired or retired this is also a perfect job for you

Successful applicants will have the potential to earn great rates:

- $34.19 p/h
- $0.95 per kilometre for use of your own vehicle (where applicable)
