Youth Worker

_Hi, I am a 11-year-old girl who resides in Gold Coast region. I am supported by a Female Youth Worker at all times who helps me with my daily living and transportation to appointments. _
- I am looking for a kind and committed Youth Worker to join my team and help make a positive difference in my life. Due to the severity of my complex needs, you must have a high level of initiative, be patient and understanding. Most of all, I need someone who can assist with my emotional regulation and meeting my complex attachment needs. _
- About me: I am independent, creative, and full of energy. I enjoy keeping busy and trying new things, however I am sometimes demanding and challenging. Sometimes I get scared and abscond, so I will need your help to keep me safe._

This role will be situated in the Gold Coast region supporting an 11-year-old female young person with highly complex behaviours and care needs along with other Child Safety young people where required.

**Key requirements**
- Passion and demonstrated experience in supporting people to live the lives they choose.
- Experience with complex and challenging behaviours is mandatory.
- Ability to perform a wide range of personal care services and assist with the implementation of care plan with limited supervision.
- Ability to exercise limited judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures in resolving complex behavioural and care situations.
- Good computer skills in order to use online systems.
- Capacity to meet physical requirements of the job.
- Current drivers license and own reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Current QLD Blue and Yellow Card/NDIS worker Screen
- Current First aid and CPR Certificates
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate III in Youth Work
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- LCS2 checks
