Coogee Continental Deli is recruiting for an Experienced Deli / Cafe Assistant, to join our team of awesome people

This is a multifunctional role, if you have a real passion for food, be able to move between making delicious coffees, serving customers over the counter and organised and motivated. This is the job for you.

**Position Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Experience and understanding of working in a fast paced, highly productive take away business
- Knowledge of international and local small goods, speciality coffee, and the workings of a cafe / take away business
- Ability to converse with customers to ensure the full continental experience is provided.
- Passionate about preparing well-constructed continental rolls, salads, meals, and ready to go food
- Be able to converse with customers and engage in conversations relating to food products, company services and provide a genuine customer experience
- Follow food safety standards to ensure food quality is above requirements
- Sound understanding of Food Safety Handling Practices and industry best practices. Accountable for workplace cleanliness procedures daily upkeep and scheduled cleaning
- Assisting with inventory management, goods receipting and stock control
- Opening and Closing of Shop, including securely locking doors and setting alarm
- Support teammates in other all business area during busy periods, as required
- Have a great attitude, with a passion for excellent customer service
- Be eager to learn and extend personal and professional skills
- Be willing to work as a part of a growing (awesome) and passionate team
- Communicate effectively and professionally, with team mates, management and customers
- Have a positive mindset and great energy

Coogee Continental operates 7 days per week, 6:30am - 6:00pm, the successful applicant will be required to work a mixture of mornings and afternoon shifts, both on weekdays and weekends. We are open most public holidays but closed Christmas, Good Friday & New Year’s Day.

It is required, that the applicant has a minimum 2 years’ deli / cafe experience

The applicant must reside in Australia and have the correct working visa (if necessary).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $30.91 - $56.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
