THE OPPORTUNITY
The Boulder Gym & Showroom Manager role at ICP will be a challenging, exciting and dynamic one which is responsible for the day to day operations of the club - with a sales and service orientation. This role directly oversees all concierge services for guests, internal staff hiring and training, as well as the promotion and scheduling of the business and it’s boutique style classes.
The Boulder Gym & Showroom Manager works directly with the Chief Operating Officer and with support from the Marketing, Sales & Route Setting team in the implementation and execution of the strategic objectives of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating at the forefront of the business, the Boulder Gym & Showroom Manager is the most visible part of the ICP team and the first person of the management team that will be called upon by members, staff and contractors for any requirements.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
This role requires an energetic, professional, versatile and enthusiastic person with a good knowledge of business operations as well as a strong passion for health and fitness. It requires excellent communication and people management skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously as well as in a fast, team-based environment. You will ideally show strength in these areas:
- Rostering - Experience in interpreting and advising on relevant policy, awards and agreements relating to pay and roster systems. Dealing with disruptions and Problem solving.
- Demonstrate leadership and promote positive values.
- Work closely with COO to ensure the efficiency of team members through appropriate strategies, training and organisation.
- Managing and controlling monthly meetings for management and key staff.
- Recruitment, induction, training and performance management of the team.
- Proactively identifying staff development and training strategies to drive performance and
ensuring a strong work ethic is cultured within the team.
- Establishing clear lines of responsibility and defining clear expectations of the
team/individual behaviour.
- Created and implemented company policies for WH&S.
- Lead Customer Service training.
- Manage facility budgets to achieve goals, delivering on-time performance and ensuring a
high safety standard at all times.
- Identifying and engaging potential business leads in the showroom
- Organising marketing activities, including promotional events and discount schemes.
