Welding Technician

**About Us**

We are immediately seeking to appoint a Welding Technician to work in our Welshpool facility.

**Job Overview**
- Build and assemble tools, including specialized thermite heaters
- Take responsibility for planning own work to meet production and schedule requirements
- Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal components
- Read and interpret schematics, and engineering drawings
- Use basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal pieces
- Operate various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and calipers
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
- Keep production logs and maintain inventory of job materials.
- Contribute to operation’s and assembly manual content
- Contribute to design reviews, proposing feedback based on operational experience
- Complete JSA’s and HIR to company standards
- Keep clean equipment and work areas
- Contributes to the workplace improvement in terms of HSE and 5s
- Experience as a Manufacturing Technician a strong plus
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding
- Knowledge and practice of 5s principles

- Self-starter and self-motivated, ability to mentor other less senior technicians
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Working knowledge of general laboratory/manufacturing safety & record keeping
- Good mathematical skill is essential and the ability to manipulate mathematical data and convert between units of measure

- Welshpool, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
