Assistant Store Manager

We’re looking for a full-time **Assistant Store Manager** for our **Browns Plains **Paint Trade Centre, who has experience with service excellence and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Reporting to the Store Manager, this position would suit an experienced Sales Assistant looking for their next step, or a current Assistant Store Manager. Guided by your Store Manager, you will work with other Store Managers and the Trade team to implement and maintain sales growth within our Company Owned Stores and continue to work toward service excellence within the paint industry. **Responsibilities**: - Demonstrate exceptional customer service, accountability, ownership, teamwork, promoting engagement and offering solutions. - Assisting the Store Manager to maintain the team's knowledge, and behaviours to provide a successful store culture. - Tinting and mixing paint, palletising paint drums, arranging orders for delivery and colour matching. - Deliveries using the Store vehicle. - Inventory, ordering, stock replenishment. - Assisting to grow store revenue and targets and hitting Indicators. - Maximizing the sales approach to focus on the features and benefits of PPG products. - Assisting in implementing marketing and promotional plans to maximise sales potential. - Maintain and continue the development of customer relationships. Offering advice/solutions to customers, both trade and retail. - Operate point of sale system and prepare sales invoices following company policy. - Increase sales using the 4x3 Selling Application System - Preparing, Prime and Seal, Finishing. - Assist to achieve and follow Store standards, including EHS, training, and housekeeping. - Uphold and maintain the highest levels of safety for all teams, customers, and contractors. **Training**: - Attend PPG state-based training - trade product, 4x3 Customer Service Protocol, and Selling Application System. - Undertake sales techniques, store presentations, customer service, and ethics training. **Benefits**: - Ongoing product training in a market-leading brand. - Commitment to ongoing job security and development. - Incentives for hitting monthly budget. - Good work/life balance. **Requirements**: - Previous Assistant Store Manager or Experienced Sales Assistant. - Ability to lift and handle up to 32 kgs. - Paint industry experience is not mandatory - training is provided. - 1+ years of experience in retail sales, with a customer focus. - Visual Merchandising experience preferred, not essential. - Available Monday - Friday between 6.30 am - 4.30 pm for a 38-hour work week.
