**Position Details**

We provide personalised care to our patients and providing a warm, caring service is a key part of this service. Our team is highly collaborative and work together to provide efficient and high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a reliable and skilled medical receptionist for a casual position with flexible hours. Immediate start is available. Applicants with transferrable skills will be considered.

Our practice is in a phase of expansion, and we need someone who can thrive in a bustling environment, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Acting as the first point of contact for all phone calls and patients, ensuring a welcoming and warm first impression.
- Maintain and adhere to privacy and confidentiality requirements
- Performing the day-to-day operations of the front desk, including booking patients, processing patient billing and processing correspondence.
- Triaging patients
- Assisting patients with enquiries.
- Completing opening and closing procedures.
- Liaising with doctors, nurses and patients.
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence with care and attention to detail.
- Basic cleaning duties.
- General troubleshooting skills of telephone system, internet, printers and other clinical equipment.
- Participating in team meetings and ongoing training to continuously improve practice operations

**Additional Requirements**
- Availability to work various shifts, including potential evenings and weekends
- Ability to provide coverage during staff absences on short notice
- Flexibility to increase hours during busy periods

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Previous medical reception experience preferred (but not required)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy and experience with Best Practice Software (desirable)
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
