Maritime Safety Queensland Branch, Marine Engineering team are seeking a PO3 Designer (Civil) to join our dynamic, diverse and inclusive team. Further learning and development support available through the Study and Research Assistance Scheme (SARAS) (subject to approval).Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Autonomously generate CAD models and design drawings. Research materials, structural member section sizes availability, components, products, to inform design detailing, design durability /sustainability, and minimise waste. Independently project manage the drafting tasks. Undertake inspections.Mandatory qualifications and conditions: - A minimum three-year, Sydney Accord accredited degree such as a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or recognised equivalence. An Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) with relevant competency equivalence to the three year degree is acceptable. Proficiency at using AutoCAD and 3D terrain modelling software to prepare design drawings (at least 5 years practitioner experience in a design drafting role using AutoCAD software). Current Class "C" Driver's Licence or equivalent.
