**About the area**
The Automation and Robotics group at the School of Engineering designed and operates about 50 mobile robots for teaching and research. The group employs several robot manipulators which have up to a 150kg payload, as well as an industrial automated assembly line for teaching. In research, the group works on AI methods for several autonomous boats and vehicles, including three shuttle buses.

**About you**
- PhD in Engineering or a closely related field with expertise relevant to Robotics and Automation.
- Innovative educator with experience delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in at least two of the listed areas (Robot Manipulators, Automation, Mobile Robots, Mechatronics and Engineering Design)
- HDR supervision experience, with demonstrated success in supervising or co-supervising research students.
- Industry engagement and proven ability to contribute to both the School and wider University activities, promoting equity and diversity
