Our client is one of the largest private hospital pathology businesses, providing comprehensive, high quality pathology services across Australia. They are looking for a full time, permanent Pathology Laboratory Manager to manage their small Histology Dept work in Southport, Queensland.

**About the role**
This position is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Scientist to extend and develop their career in a fast paced, high volume Histology Laboratory.

The Histology department is seeking an experienced Medical Scientist or Laboratory Manager with a go-getter attitude to manage the team and provide key leadership skills needed to lead a laboratory relocation project.

**About You**
- Tertiary Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- AIM's accreditation highly regarded
- Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships
- Experience in working under tight deadlines to meet day to day targets, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks within set timeline
- Works effectively as part of a broader team
- Results orientated and a proactive and effective problem solver
- Proven skills in defining, prioritising, and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to always demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity
- Histology experience
