**Your new company**

Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as an Accounts and Payroll Officer/Bookkeeper. This is a full-time position based at the headquarters in North Gold Coast. As an Accounts and Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

**Your new role**

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the professional and accurate bookkeeping, reporting, file maintenance, record keeping, and administration support for the accounting function. Additionally, you will ensure the HR systems and payroll process runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy.

**Responsibilities**:

- End of month General Ledger reconciliation
- Weekly Cash Flow reporting
- Maintenance and Reconciliation of company credit card.
- Accounts Payable Entry
- Bank reconciliations
- General Administration Duties.
- Communication with clients, vendors, and employees.
- Review of weekly time sheets
- Processing of weekly payroll, and upload of file to the bank account for approval
- Perform quality control audits to ensure accuracy
- Manage the preparation Superannuation Guarantee contributions
- Manage the preparation Industry Redundancy contributions
- Review and educate payroll team on award changes and new policies
- Resolving payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all payroll information is filed and archived
- Assist with HR function; Industrial Instruments, employee contracts, employee training coordination etc

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful, you will have proven work experience as an Accounts and Payroll Officer or Bookkeeper or similar role in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in using accounting software MYOB is preferred not essential and intermediate to advanced MS Office (especially Excel). Additional skills required are effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
