**About the Role**:

- To provide administrative and secretarial assistance to the Manager Resource and Waste Services and to other areas of the department.
- To deliver outcomes with a focus on the provisions of effective and quality internal and external customer service
- To undertake the day to day service provision to ensure that Council’s policies and objectives are achieved
- Managing and maintaining data from Council’s landfills, weighbridge and transfer station sites
- Assist in the preparation of data collection and EPA License Reporting requirements
- Assist in the preparation of reports and taking of meeting minutes
- To provide administrative support for customer service, data management, monthly billing and financial assistance
- Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity
- Contribute to the performance of Council: demonstrate professional conduct, make the best use of knowledge, experience and skills and be accountable for own decisions and actions
- Contribute to a safe workplace: comply with legislative and organisational requirements and be accountable for own decisions and actions

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Demonstrated computer skills plus highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Windows and Microsoft office suite
- Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems
- Excellent customer service philosophy and experience allowing the position to deal effectively with a diverse range of internal and external customers and situations
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current Class C drivers licence

Desirable criteria:

- Certificate in Business Administration (TAFE) or comparable experience
- Current NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- Experience working within Local Government
- Background in Finance or related financial experience
- Clear and practical communication with customers, internal and external stakeholders and colleagues
