Reporting to the Director City Delivery, this role forms a critical part of the senior leadership network at City of Melton. This role will manage Council’s key service delivery contracts through effective management and enhance service provision across an interesting portfolio of waste services, civil operations, parks maintenance and emergency management. You will lead a sizeable, highly capable and engaged team by developing a vision and purpose, communicating effectively, developing and mentoring talent and promoting a culture of accountability and trust. You will drive an environment of high performance and collaboration to deliver exceptional outcomes for residents. You will champion best practice customer service, actively listening to the needs of the customer to ensure that the physical infrastructure and assets enhance the livability of the municipality for its residents.

In addition to being a results-focused leader, you bring extensive experience in contract management within a complex service delivery industry. You have a strong understanding of regulatory environments and strengths in managing civil infrastructure, waste, open space or related assets. Well regarded for being a committed values-driven people leader, you have strong operational experience and relevant qualifications combined with the demonstrated ability to manage performance with a proven track-record of effectively using data to deliver on operational performance targets. You bring experience in contract management, OH&S and financial management and possess strong communication skills that enable you to collaborate and engage with the broader business.
