Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Traffic Controller to join Service Stream in our Port Melbourne office.
About the Role

Service Stream’s transportation division are currently seeking a Night Traffic Controller to join one of the country’s largest Service Providers. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of traffic control activities in accordance with Service Stream and regulatory requirements. The team is responsible for managing over 6,000 Intelligent Transport System (ITS) devices on Melbourne’s Managed Motorways Network.

Nature of position: Permanent

Location: Port Melbourne

Reporting Line: Night Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for
- Perform all tasks associated with traffic control works
- Regular tasks include but are not limited to:

- Vehicle Pre-Start checks
- Organising and setting up signage and other associated equipment relevant for the appropriate set up of traffic control
- Accurate completion of documentation
- Completion of site checks to always ensure safety and compliance
- Any other duties as required by the night supervisor.

About You

To be successful in this role, you are a traffic controller with freeway traffic management experience. You will also demonstrate and possess the following:
Essential experience
- Current HR Drivers Licence
- Freeway traffic management experience preferable.
- White Card
- Control Traffic with a Stop Slow Bat
- Implement traffic management plan

Desirable skills
- Prepare a traffic management plan RIICWD503E
- EWP licence
- First aid and CPR training
