We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join the Virginia facility on day shift. This is an exciting hands on opportunity to get involved with the day to day running of the maintenance department.

As the** Trades Assistant** your responsibilities will include:

- Assist Mechanical tradespeople, Contactors & Facilities team where and when required,
- Perform simple routine preventative maintenance such as lubrication, and Handyman type tasks as and when required.
- Inspecting and maintaining of the wastewater treatment plant as required
- Ensuring the workshop is clean and organised,
- Entering data and using information from the computerised maintenance management system.
- Some basic fabrication and repairs

**The ingredients to be successful**:

- Trades Assistant experience, preferably in an engineering workshop environment,
- The ability to work autonomously is a must as well as taking ownership
- Some level of computer literacy,
- Forklift licence and Boiler standard licence
- Good written and oral communication skills,
- Strong interpersonal skills needed for establishing good working relationships, and a can do attitude.
- Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
