Design Drafter

**About the Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for design drafters to join the Hastings Deering Team in Archerfield, Brisbane. The role is for a minimum of 6 months. Monday - Friday.

This role primarily exists for developing safe, quality assured designs and corresponding manufacturing and assembly drawings to meet the functional specifications as required by customers.
- Design Drafters will document Go To Work Machine modifications
- In conjunction with Engineers, conduct the detail design phase for engineering solutions to meet the required functional specifications and ensure that the development and on-going maintenance of design plans and risk assessments is completed where appropriate
- Undertake the design and drafting of new engineering solution requests when assigned.
- Participate in design related risk assessments where appropriate
- Ensure that drawings are completed prior to the committed drawing release date.
- Ensure all designs meet relevant Australian and International Standards and applicable Legislation
- Ensure drawings are in accordance with the company Engineering Database and CAD Standards (ESG-131)
- Ensure all designs are safe for manufacturing, installation, operations and maintenance personnel
- Investigate and recommend design modifications to eliminate any design issues associated with engineering solutions as required
- Liaise with internal customers as required in regards to the development of new designs and/or

**What you require to be eligible for the role**:

- 2D & 3D Design Software Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Design or Engineering would be highly regarded
- Resume outlining all skills and experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
