**About the Opportunity**

The operator is responsible for overseeing and executing complex rigging operations at ASC sites. This position requires advanced knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment and safety procedures.

You will set up rigging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper attachment to load-bearing structures and compliance with safety regulations; select appropriate rigging equipment for each task and execute rigging operations according to plan, coordinating with team members to ensure smooth and safe lifting and positioning of loads.

Conducting work on a CCSM has several challenges, confined space, incompatible operations, and difficult working positions all of which need careful attention to detail when conducting tasks.

**Responsibilities**

This position consists of the following major work components including:

- Operator duties on-board CCSM, Workshop and with Confined Spaces with the following qualifications and experience: Forklift, Overhead Crane, Mobile Crane, Dogging, Advance Rigging in confined spaces, Rigging equipment test and tag
- Ability to work in restricted confined space
- Advanced Rigging Techniques
- Experienced Hot Work and Confined space permit control procedures
- Work within a team environment and work to high standards
- Work in association with pay classification

- High Risk Work license
- Forklift License
- Advance Rigging HRWL
- Dogging HRWL
- Over Head Crane
- Confined Space
- Working at heights

Essential Skills & Experience:

- 5 Years Advanced Rigging experience preferred high risk or defence
- Dogging experience
- Overhead gantry experience
- Rigging equipment test and tag
- Working at Heights
- HR License desirable
- Confined Space and restricted advance Rigging techniques

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
