As our Anti Money Laundering Manager, reporting to the Senior AML Manager, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of analysis, recording and reporting actions in accordance with The Star’s AML/ CTF Program and regulatory statutory requirements.

This role will actively supervise and manage a team of AML/CTF Analysts, taking ownership for mentoring, developing and ensuring successors are in place for critical roles

**A few of your responsibilities**

- Team Management - allocation f BAU tasks, resource forecasting and administrative team leave management.
- Undertake assessment of Transaction Monitoring alerts and approvals, data analysis including reporting for:

- table and EGM play,
- cage/account records
- bank deposits
- telegraphic transfers
- Re-verification of KYC information and escalation of customer ID discrepancies.
- Review of suspicious matter referrals from internal employees.
- Hold the delegated authority to formulate “suspicions of a matter on reasonable grounds” and submit Suspicious Matter Reports (SMR) to AUSTRAC

**What we are looking for**
- Previous experience in an AML/CTF Analyst role
- ACAMS Accreditation and relevant qualifications in AML/CTF
- Validated experience in risk management or assurance role is highly advantageous
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently

With your attention to detail and ability to prioritise, this role will effectively assess transaction monitoring alerts and approvals with a focus on reverification and critical issue of any discrepancies. Communication skills will enable you to forge and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, managing investigation inquiries and raising matters of concerns to the appropriate agencies.
