**How You'll Make a Difference in This Role**:
In this role, you’ll provide quality care and companionship for Aboriginal Elders and the broader community in their own homes, empowering their independence and improving their quality of life in **Tuggeranong and Surrounding areas**. You’ll be required to travel to clients' homes and communities, using your own car.

**_ Appropriate cultural knowledge and understanding of First Nations history, challenges and protocols is important to deliver effectively in this role. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply._**

**The care work you do may include**:

- **Help at home**: housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation
- **Personal Care**: personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, helping at mealtime or with medication administration
- **Supporting wellness through transportation**: driving to appointments and accompanying clients on shopping outings or to Uniting's Healthy Living for Seniors programs.

**We're seeking individuals who**:

- Experience in aged or community care, **or** a passion to begin your career in aged care.
- Empathetic and resourceful and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
- Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients.
- Full Australian driving licence and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle that’s comprehensively insured (not just CTP).
- Comfortable travelling frequently around the Tuggeranong and surrounding areas
