**The Opportunity**

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced leader to manage our Milperra operation.

Reporting to the NSW/ACT Regional Operations Manager, you will use your planning & organisational skills to safely oversee yard operations and productivity targets, coordinate logistics requirements, ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and bring a people focus to managing the team and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Leading the team in a safety-oriented operations environment
- Maximise sustainable profit margins by establishing and implementing production goals, objectives and procedures in line with established budgets and forecasts
- Use knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and continuous improvement techniques to maximise the effective processing of materials

**To be successful in this opportunity, you will have**:

- Demonstrated ability to foster a safety-focused team environment
- Experience overseeing operations of mobile equipment i.e. forklifts, skid steers, excavators
- Strong scheduling, coordination and planning skills with high attention to detail, in order to maintain optimum effectiveness of operations and logistics
- Proven leadership skills, to effectively manage a high performing team in a dynamic working environment
- Prior experience managing a facility or yard within the waste industry will be highly regarded
- Ability to build rapport, with a high customer service ethos
- A self-motivated approach, you will enjoy influencing outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using MS Office Suite and weighbridge software (or similar) to support daily operations

**It will be an added advantage if you have**:

- In-depth knowledge of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metal sorting & processing techniques
- Demonstrated experience ensuring quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
