Mental Health Clinician

**$43.67 to $56.72 depending on your discipline and level of experience | Mental Health Clinician - North West Sector**

80 hours per fortnight available with monthly ADO | Up to $15,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation

**About the role**

Join our dedicated team as a Mental Health Clinician, providing holistic, evidence-based care to support recovery for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Working collaboratively with Senior Clinicians and Team Leaders, you'll deliver comprehensive bio-psycho-social clinical assessments, treatment, and care plans that prioritise consumer cantered and family inclusive practice. Community clinicians are required to work a rostered function covering weekends to facilitate urgent assessments and support to consumers in their own homes, ED, medical wards and consumers from youth and aged services. This includes assessments over the telephone and medication management/support.

Provide evidence based and best practice clinical assessments, identify and prioritise consumers needs and develop risk management plans.- Undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, identify and prioritise consumer and family needs, including risk assessment and managemen
- t Attend Mental Health Tribunals and ensure consumers rights are met under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Ac
- t Co-ordinate crisis assessments and admissions to mental health bed based units. Monitor physical health conditions and promote physical wellbeing. Develop recovery plans in collaboration with consumers, families and carers, prioritise and action areas identified.**Skills and experience**

Must have AHPRA (Nurses, Occupational Therapists & Psychologist) or eligibility for the AASW for Social Worker
- s Recent clinical experience in a range of mental health settings, including bed based units and community mental health. Well-developed mental health assessment skills Good knowledge of the Mental Health Wellbeing Act and other relevant legislation Good knowledge of the recovery model and how this informs engagement with consumers- Up to $15,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation_
- The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill._
- The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV)._
