**The role**

An exciting opportunity exists for a Laboratory Technician/Scientific Officer to work as part of our Grinding Media Sales / Technical team. As a business, we pride ourselves on being best in class for quality products and providing timely technical support for our customers.
- physical testing of marked ball sample preparations and retrievals, ultrasonic testing and assisting in metallurgical investigations
- timely and accurate preparation, testing, recording, and reporting of test results
- maintaining and calibrating testing machines and
- assisting in customer circuit analysis and optimisation.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined, there would be requirements of travel from time to time to conduct after sales technical support for our customers.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will:

- be experienced in laboratory testing and testing procedures
- be able to demonstrate the attributes required to perform analytical tasks that require a meticulous and disciplined approach
- be able to demonstrate your passion for improving controls, processes and systems and
- be self directed wiht the ability to work independently and as part of a small team of dedicated people
- Demontrated ability to work safely at all times is a critical requirement
- A Cert IV in laboratory practices would be advantageous
- A tertiary qualification in Geology, Metallurgy, Chemistry or a trade qualification in a relevant discipline would also be beneficial from the perspective of future advancement within the Technology/R & D group.
