Workplace Location

Rockpool Residential Aged Care in Carseldine features a range of beautifully designed spacious luxury suites and premium rooms, set amongst leafy surrounds and walkways. Located in the lush bushland of Carseldine Village. It is in close proximity to shops, public transport, and parks. Rockpool offers the best in contemporary aged care design.

About the role

We are seeking casual and part time hospitality staff - Café All-Rounder, Food Service assistant and Cleaners to join the Hospitality team in our aged care facility located in Carseldine.
- Casual CAFE ALL ROUNDER_ duties include:

- Excellent customer service skills by providing quick, efficient, and polite service at all times
- A can-do attitude is essential by promoting and upselling all stock available for purchase
- Present in a professional and immaculate manner
- Developing and expanding your barista knowledge and skills
- Using the point-of-sale system and cash handling duties
- Constant communication with all team members to ensure service is reaching optimum levels
- Preparing café style menu selections and using kitchen equipment
- Conducting general cleaning duties
- Ensure compliance of workplace, health and safety, and other legislative requirements
- FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT_ duties include:

- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner
- The ability to work flexibly within the facility
- Demonstrate initiative and love being part of a team
- Actively participates in quality activities aimed at the continuous improvement
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of serveries and dining room set up
- Preparation of high-quality meals to elderly
- Maintaining a HACCP compliant environment at all times
- Communicating effectively with co-workers, and other stakeholders
- Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
- Washing dishes and plating of meals
- Function set up and clear down
- Food and beverage service
- CLEANER_
- Conducting general cleaning duties
- Ensure compliance of workplace, health and safety, and other legislative requirements
- Operation of specific cleaning equipment
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner
- Communicating effectively with co-workers, and other stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

- Reliable and punctual and self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients
- The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen
- Must have reliable transportation
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations
- Evidence of current flu vaccination
- Willingness to undergo a police check
- Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia

**Salary**: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
