A unique opportunity for the right plantsperson and their team on this heritage property in the southern highlands. Boasting one of the best gardens in Australia in the past. A rewarding restoration project that will be seen my thousands. Working with unique plants and gaining knowledge from renowned horticulturist Graham Warwick and long-time property and nursery manager.

Looking for a highly skilled and motivated team to restore an original 1930’s garden in the Southern Highlands to its former glory. The 5-acre garden remains true to the original landscape design of Mr Buckingham which compliments the vision of the house designed by Mr Laidley Dowling.

After many years of environmental factors including drought, the garden is in need of large restorative work. The successful applicant/s will be responsible for restoring and revamping the design concept working closely with the property manager and rare plant nursery team.

Task will include but not be limited to:
Soft landscaping

Planting shrubs and trees

Mass planting of perennials

Weeding and pruning and hedging

Waste removal

Hard landscaping

Mulching, garden edging and laying sawdust paths

About you and your team:

- Need a passion for plants and learning about new and unique plants and respecting the original design while sensitively elevating it.
- Certificate III in Horticulture within the team, not essential but preferred as you will be working with uncommon plants sourced from our nursery
- An interest and passion in rare plants
- Previous experience in a similar projects
- Living or willing to travel to the Southern Highlands for work
- Be motivated, present yourself in a professional manor with a positive attitude;
- A keen eye for detail
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Skilled at managing a team
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
- Reliable, punctual, energetic and enthusiastic
- Own transportation
- Ability to take instruction and lead your team to complete the project

We require the successful applicant to start immediately.

The job has a strict date of completion as the garden will reopen to the public on the 16th of September for Tulip time.

Applicants need to complete a quote for the project, we will supply you with a detailed garden plan and tasks to be completed to assist with your assessment.

Ideally, we would like to give one contractor and their team the project, however due to the scale of the project and the desired deadline, we will consider multiple smaller teams that will work in unison.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 - 4 months

**Salary**: $23.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burradoo, NSW 2576: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
