There is now an exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join the Fabrication team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Trades Assistant is responsible for assisting Boilermakers with the efficient fabrication and welding of RME-manufactured equipment to a high standard of workmanship and safety. This role will incorporate a wide and varied range of tasks which will be performed on an as-needed basis.

Strong interpersonal skills, such as the ability to take direction, respond positively to criticism, and be proactive in seeking feedback and the ability to work respectfully in a team environment are critical to success in this role.

**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

**Required**
- Experience as a Trades Assistant;
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to approach situations with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude; and
- You must have a genuine interest assisting in the fabrication of high-quality, high-performance, specialised machines.

**Desirable**
- Good mechanical aptitude;
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Toolkits experience;
- Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office software; and
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.

**Licences**
- Possession of a current QLD ‘C’ Class Open Driver’s Licence (required);
- A current Forklift High Risk licence (desirable);
- A current Overhead Crane licence (desirable); and
- A current Doggers High Risk licence (desirable).
