Canteen Assistant

The College is currently seeking a Canteen Assistant to join us on a part-time basis. This position
works with the team to assist the Canteen Manager in ensuring efficient operation of the College
- 2:00pm Monday to Friday. Generally this position will be term time only, however there is a
requirement to also work on Staff Development Days.
- Past experience working in food preparation;
- Previous cash-handling experience;
- Exceptional knowledge of food handling and hygiene practices;
- Good organisational and time management skills;
- An excellent approach to customer service;
- Completed the AHA Hospitality & Tourism COVID-19 Course; and
- A current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one.
- Prepare food in accordance with menu requirements;
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the canteen;
- Perform over-the-counter sales during College break times;
- Cater for functions, as required;
- Comply with food safety procedures;
- Ensure security and cleanliness of the canteen; and
- Adhere to OH&S requirements and log any maintenance issues.
