**Job Description**:
We are currently looking for a 0.5FTE Lecturer in Aviation to be responsible for designing and delivering a suite of courses across our Aviation and Aviation Management undergraduate and post-graduate programs. This role will be a 0.5 FTE role, which will consist of 0.4 FTE learning and teaching activities, and 0.1 FTE service activities. Success in this role requires an extensive knowledge of the aviation industry and the capacity to effectively teach these courses with passion and commitment.

**Key requirements of this position include**:

- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in teaching aviation, including designing inspiring and challenging assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with proven ability in the administration of University courses.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and course convenorship. Knowledge of the Canvas Learning Management System is desired.
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise students (undergraduate and postgraduate research).
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability and commitment to work in a collegial manner and contribute to the
positive culture and aspirations of the School and University including collaborating with other staff, participation on committees and School
activities, and liaison with industry partners.

This is a 0.5 FTE, fixed term 12 month contract position based at the Nathan campus. Delivery of course learning and teaching activities on campus will be required.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful within this role, you will have aviation knowledge and experience or hold a qualification in a related discipline.

**In addition to the above, you will demonstrate**:

- The ability to work both independently and and collaboratively within a team.
- The ability to take initiatives to achieve career objectives and goals.

Additional Information
**Salary range**
The base salary for a full time Lecturer (Level B) is in the range $105,144 - $124,862 (pro rata) per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is in the range $123,019 - $146,089 (pro rata) per annum.
