**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Principal Cyber Security Risk Consultant to be part of the Risk and Assurance Team in our Corporate Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide an independent strategic assessment of cyber security risk and cyber security monitoring and reporting services for PIRSA to ensure we are managing and are compliant with cyber security legislation, policy, and processes. The Principal Cyber Security Risk Consultant will conduct audits and provide independent assurance over the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of PIRSA’s cyber security risks and incidents.

The role will deliver on PIRSA’s annual internal audit plan, and report on legislative compliance and contribute to delivering PIRSA’s governance framework. The role contributes to delivering the agency’s priorities including Priority 6 “Perform Well”, specifically “ensuring good governance practices are in place” (6.4).

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- Opportunity up to January 2026.
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

**Remuneration**

ASO8 - $121,107 min - $125,679 max per annum, plus superannuation
