**Position Information**:
At Tarrawanna Public School, we believe in nurturing the potential of every student and providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our commitment to excellence in education is driven by a team of dedicated educators who are passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a lifelong love for learning. Our school has an enrolment of 161 students, including 18% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. We have a FOII of 114 and 15% of students have a language background other than English.
We strive for academic excellence by implementing a comprehensive curriculum that is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Through innovative teaching methods and personalised learning approaches, we aim to challenge and empower each child to reach their full potential and achieve academic success.Our school emphasises the holistic development of students by offering a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. These opportunities enable students to explore their interests, develop essential life skills, and build confidence as they grow into well-rounded individuals. We value teaching for the whole child ensuring our students become the best version of themselves.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and display educational leadership during the implementation of new curriculum reforms with evidence-informed literacy and numeracy practices to improve teaching, learning and assessment.
- An open, visible and approachable leader with outstanding organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, who empowers staff and builds positive relationships and balances the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher and community leader.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Aboriginal education across the school and the wider community and ensure Aboriginal histories and cultures are authentically embedded by staff across all teaching and learning programs.
- Proven ability to facilitate, manage and support whole school wellbeing practices that result in enhanced student engagement and positive school culture.
- Demonstrated experience to lead and drive a culture of research-informed pedagogy, student engagement and high potential and gifted education including domains of potential.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
