Broadbeach, QLD, AU, 4218Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.

As construction of GCLR3 gets underway, John Holland is actively recruiting for a talented and driven Safety Administrator to join the team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.

**About the role**:
Working closely to support both the WHS team, Rail Safety team & training team, this role will predominately focus on the successful onboarding of John Holland employees and Subcontractors. You will assist in items such as, inductions, training, competency management, PPE supply, ID card management, KPI tracking, monthly report development & safety procurement.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Attend inductions and act as the first point of contact for the WHS team
- Support project security by following procedures and controlling access to the building e.g. issuing of visitor badges and following visitor sign in procedures
- Maintain project filing and database systems, sorting information accurately, privately and safely
- Ensure WHS expenses and invoices are processed and are in line with contractual obligations
- Coordinate induction activities for the project, such as room bookings, liaise with new starters & order PPE
- Provide general administrative support which may include arranging and attending meetings, conferences, functions, taking and distributing minutes, and making travel and accommodation arrangements as required
- Provide support, coordination and advice of Health Safety practices, systems and procedures within a defined workplace
- Administer education and compliance programs for employees, contractors and visitors within a defined workplace
- Initiate and coordinate accredited training programs for occupational health and safety committee members and first aid officers

**Skills & Experience required**:

- Basic computer literacy skills
- Experienced working in an office environment
- Working knowledge of administration and document management practices
- Confident communicator
- Passion for teamwork and delivering on deadlines
