**About Us**
The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is South Australia’s independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the _Environment Protection Act 1993_ (EP Act) and the _Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021_ (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

**About the Role**
The Site Contamination Officer is a member of the EPA’s Site Contamination Branch. The Officer will accept responsibility for professional actions and be expected to seek professional support if required. Professional direction will be provided to the officer who may operate individually, as a team member, or within a work group.

The Site Contamination Officer will be required to critically review and assess reports held by and presented to the EPA. The Officer will also undertake various projects, investigations and assignments and provide associated administrative support on issues relating to site contamination and associated statutory requirements under the _Environment Protection Act 1993_.

**Remuneration**
PO1 ($68,478- $83,594 per annum) + 11.5% superannuation added to your chosen super fund.

**Essential Qualification**
Bachelor degree in science, engineering or other recognised degree level qualification that is related to site contamination.
