**About the role**:
This position is available immediately and will be in a permanent full-time capacity on a 12-month Fixed Term Parental Leave contract.
**Day to day responsibilities include**:
- Manage production of proposals for key strategic ‘must-win’ projects.
- Work with the local BD team to understand Northrop's value proposition and ensure it is communicated in our proposals.
- Draft all proposals based on RFT documents.
- Liaise with clients regarding outstanding submissions and seek feedback.
- Track and identify leads through a number of tender portals.
- Maintain register of proposals.
- Maintain and update where required our existing content including project write-ups, CV’s etc.
- Ensure consistent development and improvement of Northrop proposal content.
- Regularly liaise with the Marketing Manager to ensure regional initiatives are aligned with corporate direction.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in producing campaigns that require input from the Newcastle region.
**The talent you’ll bring**:
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Ability to format documents.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Canva and other similar packages are desirable.
- Good copywriting skills. Can take engineers’ technical explanations and transform them into compelling stories.
- Has excellent organisational skills - can work with over 15 internal stakeholders at any given time and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills - can explain the benefit of marketing to engineers in the business. Can collaborate effectively across the business.
- Has a strong track record in proposal coordination and submission and can help develop our business support team in this area.
- Commercial acumen - understands our value proposition and can articulate it to the market in proposals.
- Industry experience in either Engineering Consultancy, Construction or Architecture in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with team members, stakeholders and clients.
- Work effectively to meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a close team.
