**The position and requirements**

We’re seeking a passionate Bookkeeper to make a difference in the lives of people with disability. Your role will see you working closely with individuals, building connections and developing pathways to ensure they are able to achieve their Staff and client goals and maintain socially valued roles, friendships and relationships.

The role is working autonomously to maintain accurate records of financial transactions and producing financial statements. Bookkeeping and account experience in NDIS system is REQUIRED. This role is casual(10-15hrs weekly) as Gemcare is a start-up and will suit someone who is flexible.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Company Invoicing
- Quotations
- Processing of bills from suppliers
- Allocation of receipts from customers and payments to invoices, processing, and reconciliation of Bank Accounts
- Update asset register and depreciation schedule
- Processing of expenses and provisions
- Processing of accruals and employment expenses
- Submit and pay Superannuation
- Staff end to end Payroll on Xero
- Reconciling Accounts on Xero
- Reconciling Petty Cash
- Reporting any irregularities in data and compliance matters to the director
- Working within CRMs (i.e Brevity)

**Key requirements**:

- Qualification in Certificate IV Accounting and Bookkeeping or similar
- Minimum of 1 year in book keeping or a similar role
- Certification in Xero is desired
- Demonstrated ability to work methodically with high attention to detail
- Company Invoicing
- An understanding of the NDIS financials

- Bookkeeping and account experience in NDIS system
- Strong time management skills and experience in performing administrative activities: diary management, scheduling and rostering, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Great communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge around NDIS is essential
- Strong work ethic and desire to work as part of a team and independently.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with individuals with a disability and people of different cultural backgrounds.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
